Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, born on August 19, 1965, is an American actress. She also works as an actor and producer. She is most famous for her starring role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick won two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. Following the seventh season, Sedgwick was awarded the Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. The show ended on August 13th on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her role in the show as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Her film credits include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992) The Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are as well. Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) who was an educator and family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI as the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian. She was also of English heritage. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has stated that she attends Passover seders.
